Hi! We're Nick and Erin Allen — and we believe that great photography starts with a genuine connection. Our family is our foundation: our faith, each other, and our three kids keep us grounded in what matters most. With 20 years of experience behind the lens (and Erin — "the brains behind it all," in Nick's words — keeping everything running smoothly), we pour real care into every client relationship. This is never just a transaction to us. We're so glad you're here!

1. Color Coordination Tips:

Stick to 2–3 complementary tones (example: earth tones, soft neutrals). Pinterest is a great resource if you’re stumped on what to wear. It can be stressful, but we are always here to help! Sometimes we tell our clients to put all of the outfits on the floor and take a photo and text it to us. We’ll give you our opinion if there should be any changes. When in doubt, just go with all black! It will never go out of style and it’s also slenderizing, win/win!

2. Avoid heavy patterns or logos.

Patterns and logos can be very distracting if not done well. Your eye will be drawn to the brightest part of an image, so naturally we want that to be your faces. You’re also going to have this portrait on your wall for a long time! Outfits can make or break a beautiful portrait.

3. Seasonal Inspiration:

Spring = soft pastels

Summer = light fabrics

Fall = warm, cozy layers

Winter = rich jewel tones

4. Outfit Tips for Each Family Member:

We usually tell our clients to start with the pickiest person and coordinate the others from there. Wear simple accessories to avoid distractions. And remember, the longer the sleeve the thinner the arm will appear! Want to look taller and skinnier? Wear a longer necklace!
