We know what it feels like to wonder if you'll look good in the photos. To worry your kids won't cooperate, your husband will hate every second, or the whole thing will feel stiff and awkward. We've heard every version of that fear and we've spent 18 years making sure none of it comes true.
From the moment you reach out to the moment your portrait is hanging in your home, we handle every single detail. You don't have to figure anything out. You just have to show up and we'll take care of everything else!

We will spend up to one hour together at the location that we discuss together during your consultation phone call. We will tell you exactly how to pose, make the kids genuinely smile, and by the end it'll feel like we've been friends forever and you'll wonder why you were ever nervous. People tell us all the time that is was much easier and way more fun than they expected!

You already know how fast it goes. One minute they look so little, and then you blink and wonder when they grew up. A portrait session with us is how you hold onto it. We love wall art because there is no such thing as a digital heirloom. You can see it every day and remember exactly how your family was at that moment in time. These portraits are going to be passed down for generations.
senior portraits
A senior portrait session is its own kind of experience. It's personal, and entirely about them. More time. More locations. More looks. Every detail of the session is built around who they are right now, at this specific moment because this season doesn't last.
Nick takes the time to get to know our seniors and often incorporates specific details that are important to them. Such as a family pet, special car, sport etc. And at the reveal, watching your child see themselves the way we see them is why we do what we do.

What if i'm not photogenic?
That's the most common thing we hear and after 18 years and thousands of families, we have never met someone who wasn't photogenic. What we've met are people who haven't been photographed by someone who knows how to light them, direct them, and make them feel completely at ease. That's exactly what we do.
What if my kids won't cooperate?
They almost never cooperate the way you plan and that's completely fine. Expression over perfection! Nick is so patient and never rushes them. We have a secret weapon called "The Tickle Duck" that works every time! We build time into every session for the chaos, the silliness, and the meltdowns. Some of the best portraits come from the unplanned moments.
What if my husband hates having his photo taken?
He's in good company and I'm pretty sure there's a club for it out there somewhere! Most husbands arrive skeptical and leave surprised by how much fun it actually was. Nick is genuinely good at making people feel comfortable , especially the ones who were sure they wouldn't be.
Do we have to purchase wall art?
Wall art is what we do best and it's the heart of everything we create together. That said, digital packages are available starting at $795 and can be discussed in more detail over the phone. The images we create are meant to be printed and hung on your walls. Wall portraits only get more valuable with time and are passed down for generations. We'll talk through all of your options at your reveal appointment.
What happens at the reveal appointment?
It's our favorite part of the entire experience. We will sit with you in our home or yours and present every portrait in a slideshow set to music. We'll also share a custom wall art recommendation we've prepared specifically for your space. We will help you choose your favorite images instead of sending you a link to a gallery that will sit on your phone forever.
o ur easy step by step process
STEP ONE // the consultation
Before we ever pick up a camera, Erin reaches out personally to say hello and schedule a phone call between you and Nick. We'll have a relaxed conversation by phone to learn about your family, understand what matters most to you, and begin thinking about where your portraits will live in your home. This isn't a sales call. It's the beginning of us getting to know each other.
STEP TWO // the session
From the moment you arrive, the experience is relaxed and guided. Nick directs every pose, every expression, and will make a fool of himself just to make your kids smile. Honestly, he will do pretty much anything! Our two sons, Noah and Zach, often accompany Nick as our assistants. Being in front of the camera is awkward enough and Nick has an uncanny way of making people feel at ease. Our family sessions are 45-60 minutes, and our senior sessions are often up to 2-3 hours.
STEP THREE // the portrait reveal
This is our favorite part. We'll sit down together in your home or ours and present your portraits in a slideshow set to music (yes it will make you cry). We help you narrow down your favorites and also present a custom wall art recommendation we've prepared specifically for your home. These images aren't meant to stay on your phone, they're meant to be printed and hung on your walls. Wall portraits only get more valuable with time, and are passed down generation to generation.
STEP four// white glove installation
This is what sets us apart from every other portrait studio in Boise. When your portraits are ready, we bring them to your home and hang them ourselves in exactly the right spot, at exactly the right height. The experience doesn't end with a gallery link or a box left on your porch. It ends with you standing in your own home, looking at something extraordinary that wasn't there yesterday.
