We had a great extended family session last Sunday! We were done in 45 minutes and did one big group photo, then we broke it down into photos of each family, and lastly we did individual photos of the kids. That is A LOT in just a short amount of time. It’s so important to have a photographer that’s experienced and knows what they’re doing when you have a large group of people!
Nick shoots on a tripod so that he can do “head swaps” in photoshop if he needs to. There are most likely going to be a few different images he will need to combine to create the ideal family portrait.
When we need extra help on our shoots, we bring our kids along to hold the lights. Noah (he’s 16) has been our assistant since he was 5 years old. Zach (14) and Elise (11) are starting to learn the trade too! I love that we can have a job that our whole family gets to be a part of.
